From July 7-9, 2024, Shu-Hong YU, Dean of the College of Science, and Bin TAN, Associate Dean of the College of Science of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), led a delegation to visit the National University of Singapore(NUS).

Bin LIU, Deputy President for Research and Technology of NUS, Yeneng SUN, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and representatives of related departments held discussions with the SUSTech delegation.

Bin LIU extended a warm welcome to the visit of the delegation from SUSTech. She stated that NUS attaches great importance to cooperation with Chinese educational and research institutions. She hopes that both institutions intensify exchanges and collaborations across a broad range of areas in the future.

Yeneng SUN agreed that the vision of both institutions would strengthen cooperation in various forms of exchange, which is important for advancing global, scientific, and technological frontiers.

Shu-Hong YU stated that he was delighted to visit NUS, and highly praised NUS’s advanced development experience. He hopes to promote exchanges and collaboration between the two sides and carry out multi-disciplinary projects in a wider range of fields for the benefit of a shared future.

During the conversation, Prof. Shu-Hong YU and the representatives from NUS and SUSTech respectively delivered thematic reports.

The visiting delegation of the College of Science also paid a visit to the NUS’s campus and some labs.
