Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering holds spring strategy session

Earlier this month, the Shenzhen Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering (SIQSE) held its spring strategy session. Secretary-General Gao Ziming of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee joined Deputy Director Zheng Haitao of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department and Director Liang Yongsheng of the Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Commission. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) President Chen Shiyi also attended this important session, with Nanjing University academician Wu Peiheng and Beijing Institute of Technology academician Mei Hong. SIQSE Dean Yu Dapeng presided over the meeting.
President Chen Shiyi said that SIQSE had developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results due to the strong support it has received at the national, provincial and municipal levels. The future development of the Institute is anticipated.
Deputy Director Zheng Haitao hoped that SIQSE would organize itself and gather elite researchers from around the world to undertake more national projects. Such an approach would result in SIQSE making significant contributions for Guangdong’s scientific and technological innovation and the development of future industries.
Director Liang Yongsheng expected that SIQSE would be able to guide other research institutes in a variety of different areas, such as refining scientific issues, developing their scientific research environments, and introducing high-end talents.
Dean Yu Dapeng briefed the meeting about SIQSE’s research progress and future development plans. He said that he has confidence in the development of SIQSE.
Professor Mei Hong gave a keynote speech about “Everything in software-reality and challenge.”
