SUSTech 3D Quantum Hall research collaboration ranked in top ten scientific developments

On January 11, the Chinese Academies of Science and Engineering announced the ten most important steps forward in Chinese science and technology in 2019. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Department of Physics Associate Professor Zhang Liyuan’s research group was selected as one of those ten progressions, with their experimental proof of the 3D Quantum Hall effect that was published in Nature.

College of Science holds Lunar New Year Party

On January 10, the College of Science at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held a Chinese New Year Party. More than 150 faculty members, staff and students came together ahead of the Lunar New Year, with Communications & Public Relations Director Zhang Ling, Human Resources Director Chen Zhifeng, College of Science Dean Yang Xueming, Department of Chemistry Head Zheng Zhiping and Grubbs Research Institute Executive Dean Xia Haiping all attending the festivities.
