SUSTech Jiaqing He’s team makes significant progress in high-entropy-stabilized thermoelectrics

Their paper, entitled “Entropy engineering promotes thermoelectric performance in p-type chalcogenides,” was published in the high-impact academic journal Nature Communications.

SUSTech researchers make progress in the field of total asymmetric synthesis of prostaglandins

Professor Xumu Zhang from the Department of Chemistry at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Associate Professor Gen-Qiang Chen from the SUSTech Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies realized the highly efficient and asymmetric synthesis of prostaglandins using the self-developed enyne cycloisomerization and asymmetric hydrogenation reaction as the key steps, which significantly improved the synthetic efficiency. Their result was published in Nature Chemistry, entitled “Concise, Scalable and Enantioselective Total Synthesis of Prostaglandins.”

SUSTech Jiansheng Wu’s research group makes progress in quantum dynamic characterization of topological systems

Recently, Assistant Professor Jiansheng Wu’s research group from the Department of Physics and the Shenzhen Institute of Quantum Science and Engineering (SIQSE) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), in collaboration with Professor Xiong-Jun Liu’s research group from Peking University (PKU) and Professor Ya Wang’s research group from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) proposed the concept of high-order band-inversion surface (BIS) for the first time.
