It aims to promote the development of bone, mineral and musculoskeletal Sciences worldwide, and promote the transformation of basic and clinical research to improve human health. ASBMR has about 4000 members worldwide and has global influence in basic research and clinical application of orthopedics.

The ASBMR Class of Young Fellows aims to reward outstanding young scholars who report at the annual meeting. Only a small number of outstanding young scholars are awarded this honor every year.
