College of Science held the Commencement Ceremony for Class of 2020


The Graduation Ceremony for Class of 2020, College of Science has been held on July 5th, Conference Hall at Research Building 1, which brought together 432 undergraduate and graduate students, and 64 faculty members, who were all here to recognize the efforts of the graduates and their tutors.

SUSTech Granted with Five New Majors for Bachelor Degree


Recently, in the List of New Majors for Bachelor Degree (2018) announced by the Academic Degree Committee of Guangdong Province, five majors of SUSTech, including Applied Physics, Theory and Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, passed the review and were accepted as the majors for bachelor degree conferring.

Report Meeting on the Interpretation of the College Development Plan


On the afternoon of October 21, 2019, the CPC Party Committee of College of Science held a report meeting on the interpretation of the College development plan with the theme of “finding out the gap by benchmarking, and making plans to promote development” based on the requirements of the theme education of “remaining true to the original aspiration and keeping in mind the mission” as well as the real conditions of the College.

SUSTech approved for four new post-doctoral research stations


Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has received approval for four new post-doctoral research stations in mathematics, physics, biology and mechanics. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, in conjunction with the National Postdoctoral Management Committee.

ESS signs agreement with Shenzhen Emergency Command Information Support Center


Earlier this week, the Department of Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) signed a strategic cooperation framework with the Shenzhen Emergency Command Information Support Center.

The "1st Lesson of Adaptation for New Students" for Graduate Students of Grade 2019 of College of Science


On the afternoon of September 1, 2019, the 3rd lecture of the series of adaptive education for graduate freshmen of College of Science was held in Classroom 102, Lychee Hills Block 1. Xue Zheng, SUSTech’s Director of Office of Student Affairs and Secretary of Youth League Committee, brought about a 1.5-hour-long vivid and profound adaptation course to graduate students (including doctoral degree and master degree candidates) of College of Science. More than 100 postgraduate freshmen attended the lecture with Lan Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Science, as the host.
