On March 14, the International Day of Mathematics, Professor J. Peter May from the University of Chicago was invited to speak in the 188th Science Lecture at the College of Science. He delivered a lecture titled “Finite Sets, Symmetric Groups, and Categorical Combinatorics”.

On November 11, 2024, Professor Thorsten Bach from the Technical University of Munich delivered an insightful presentation at the 168th Science Lecture hosted by the College of Science at SUSTech. His lecture, titled “Catalytic Photochemical Deracemization Reactions”, showcased groundbreaking advancements in photochemical stereochemistry.

On July 12, 2024, Professor Guy Bertrand from the the Department of Chemistry at the University of California was invited to the 158th Science Lecture at the College of Science. He delivered a lecture titled “Carbenes as Powerful Transition-Metal Surrogates”, chaired by Associate Professor Liu LIU of the Department of Chemistry, SUSTech.

On May 24, 2024, Professor Roland Diehl from the Max-Planck-Institut für extraterrestrische Physik was invited to the 152nd Science Lecture at the College of Science.

On May 21, 2024, Prof. Fei QI from Shanghai Jiao Tong University was invited to the 153rd Science Lecture in the College of Science, SUSTech. He gave a lecture themed “Physical Chemistry in Flame”.

On April 25, 2024, Prof. Patrick J. Walsh from the University of Pennsylvania was invited to the 147 Science Lecture in the College of Science. He gave a lecture themed “C-C and C-N Bond Formation through 1- and 2-Electron Processes”.
