ESS Assistant Professor returns from Antarctic expedition

On April 23, the 36th Antarctic Scientific Expedition returned to its domestic base terminal in Shanghai, with the boats Xuelong and Xuelong 2 docking to mark the successful end of their expedition. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Earth and Space Sciences (ESS) research assistant professor Lei FU was invited to take part in the 36th Antarctic Scientific Expedition.

SUSTech Mathematician awarded Best Paper of World Chinese Mathematicians

December 27th saw the start of the second annual meeting of the International Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan province, China. The ICCM has been selecting the best papers of Chinese mathematicians since 2013. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Assistant Professor of Mathematics Li Qin and his collaborators won the Best Papers Award this year and received the award from outstanding mathematician Shing-Tung Yau.
