Recently, the Department of Physics at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and the Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) at Tohoku University, Japan, held a joint workshop online.

Recently, the 2021 National Planetary Science Conference was held in Suzhou. Xiaofei CHEN, Head of the Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and more than 30 faculty members and students from SUSTech were invited to attend the event.

On May 21, 2021, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and BGP Inc., China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), held the opening ceremony of the BGP-SUSTech Research Center of Geophysical Exploration Frontier Technology (RCGFT), which both parties jointly established.

On December 5 and 6, 2020 Shenzhen International Conference on Statistics and Data Science, one of the activities in celebration of SUSTech’s 10th anniversary, was held by the SUSTech Department of Statistics and Data Science (Stat-DS). The conference was live-streamed, with over 300 experts and scholars attending the meeting.
