SUSTech researchers make progress in electrochemical catalysis towards green fuel production

Recently, the team of Associate Professor Lele Duan from the Department of Chemistry of the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) reported a rapid and efficient method of preparing graphdiyne (GDY)-supported transition metal single-atom and sub-nanocluster catalysts and explored their application in the field of energy catalysis. The results were published in the internationally renowned chemistry journals Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. and Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA.

Two Papers about Thermoelectric Materials at JQH Research Group Published in Science

In the past week, Chair Professor Jiaqing He’s research group from the Department of Physics at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has published their researches about thermoelectric materials in Science. These two papers were titled “High-entropy-stabilized chalcogenides with high thermoelectric performance” and “Enhanced atomic ordering leads to high thermoelectric performance in AgSbTe2”.

SUSTech Junling Wang’s team makes breakthrough in organic-inorganic hybrid piezoelectric materials

Recently, Professor Junling Wang from the Department of Physics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and Professor Hongjin Fan from Nanyang Technological University, have made important progress in the field of piezoelectric materials. They have synthesized new organic-inorganic hybrid ferroelectric materials, achieving a shear strain of 21.5%, which is two orders of magnitude greater than that in conventional ferroelectric polymers and oxides.

SUSTech research team makes progress in two-dimensional ferroelectric metal

Recently, Professor Lang Chen’s lab at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has made significant experimental progress in two-dimensional ferroelectric metal. The relevant results have been published in Nano Letters entitled “Electric Polarization Switching on an Atomically Thin Metallic Oxide”.

SUSTech researchers make new progress in gate-controlled topological transition of superconductivity

Recently, Caizhen Li, a postdoctoral fellow of Academician Dapeng Yu’s group (Shenzhen Institute of Quantum Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology), in collaboration with Professor Zhimin Liao (Peking University) and Professor Chuan Li (University of Twente), made new progress in gate-controlled topological transition of superconductivity.

SUSTech Professor Bin TAN’s team wins the first prize of Natural Science Award

Recently, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Professor Bin TAN’s team won the first prize of the Natural Science Award in Guangdong Province for its project “Asymmetric Axial Chiral Chemistry of Organic Catalysis”. It is one of 11 first prizes of Natural Science in the whole province, and also the first provincial science and technology award for the University.
